Ian is a well known lecturer and business consultant and has gained a reputation for his entertaining style and practical approach to practice management. Ian majors in management issues, specifically dealing with the systemisation of accounting practices. He is the co-author of books on business consulting and adding value.
Gordon Gilchrist is recognised as a global leading consultant to accountancy firms in the areas of marketing, strategic planning, practice management, and increasingly, succession issues including buying, selling and merging of accountancy practices.
He trained as an accountant in the UK and later worked with Grant Thornton. He has been consulting with firms in the UK, Ireland and South Africa since 1989 and has worked with three of the Top 4 firms, 75% of the Top 20, and over 2,000 independent firms. Gordon is a well recognised and accomplished speaker for annual conferences and staff training days. He has accumulated some brilliant ideas which can be heard at his seminars. He and Ian Fletcher are joint authors of the Croner.CCH book “SME Consulting”.
Michael recently became CEO of 2020 Innovation having previously worked with the business since April, writing and presenting materials for the Covid-19 Resource Centre. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) by background, having trained at Deloitte and worked in their auditing and corporate finance departments. He also worked in a private equity firm based in London, focused on UK mid-market businesses. Over the last couple of years, Michael completed an MBA degree from London Business School.
He has been involved with ICAEW over the years and was on both the Student Council and Main Council. In addition, he was a member of the ICAEW Learning and Professional Development Board for 4 years.
Outside of work, Michael plays cricket, golf and competes in triathlons with varying degrees of success!
Ros Martin CTA is a consultant and lecturer covering all aspects of direct tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax. She was an Inland Revenue fully trained Inspector until 2000, when she left to become a consultant, advising on tax planning for large and small businesses and individuals, as well as dealing with full and aspect enquiry work.
Her clients are mainly small and medium sized accountants and the consultancy work gives a particular opportunity to understand the key issues of concerns for such professionals and consider the practical aspects of the application of legislation.

Androulla is responsible for driving the development of the Baker Tilly network’s global tax strategy.
She monitors the issues that affect the network’s clients and ensures the network is evolving to manage clients’ needs. From changes in legislation to advances in technology, Androulla works directly with member firms to lead and direct the tax service line through the changing landscape of tax services. Androulla’s key areas of interest include Tax Digitalisation and the Tax Professional of the Future. She is an experienced lecturer and public speaker on a variety of areas that concern the evolution of tax services and how tax departments should react to future proof their business.
Androulla trained as an auditor and upon qualification joined Kaplan Financial as an ICAEW tutor specialising in the tax and business strategy papers. After almost ten years Androulla left academia and re-joined practice as tax development manager at MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Baker Tilly’s UK member firm. She was shortlisted for a Tolley’s Taxation Award and Women in Finance Award in 2017, quickly progressed to Tax Director and then Head of Tax for the Baker Tilly network in 2019.
Adam is responsible for the implementation and execution of Baker Tilly International Technology and Information strategic plans, as well as supporting the wider international network’s worldwide strategy and actions.
As CIO, Adam is a business leader who is primarily responsible for network technology systems operation and the creation and implementation of new systems and processes. As a business leader, Adam is also responsible for assisting the firm’s leadership team in leading and directing the Baker Tilly International team.
Adam works with member firms across the network to set-out the network’s technology strategy, as well as assisting individual firms with their own technology strategies, policies and best practices. A key element of Adam’s role is assisting firms in risk and regulations management.
In addition to internal technology support and direction, Adam is responsible for the network’s client facing technology services strategy and best practice sharing. This includes working with all network members in developing their skills and capabilities in client services such as digital transformation. As such, Adam’s role combines that of a CIO and Chief Digital Officer.

Dr Karl George is a thought leader and internationally established consultant in governance.
